Jan 27, 2021

To celebrate the upcoming Lunar Year of the Ox, which will be celebrated on 12 February, the United Nations Postal Administration has issued a special stamp pane of the “Chinese Zodiac” series on the Year of the Ox. The sheet contains 10 stamps at $1.20 each, the standard international postage for the United States. The main design of the stamp is the United Nations emblem, and the zodiac image of the Year of the Ox is on the second stamp and the background.

This stamp sheet continues the tradition of the United Nations “Chinese Lunar Zodiac” stamp series. It is featured in red and gold colors and is inspired by traditional Chinese paper cuts. The designer is Wang Huming from China. UNPA began issuing Chinese zodiac stamps in May 2010. This year’s stamp is the 12th edition of the series, which includes all 12 zodiac animals.
